Winter Solstice - Candlelight Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Sound Bath

As the year draws to its darkest point, the Winter Solstice invites us to slow down, turn inward and embrace the quiet. Join me for a beautiful afternoon of Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and a deeply relaxing Sound Bath, held by candlelight.

Surrounded by the gentle glow of candlelight, this traditional special seasonal gathering offers an opportunity to pause and reconnect with yourself before the Christmas celebrations begin.

🌙 Sink into stillness with Yin Yoga

We will begin with a slow and nurturing Yin Yoga practice, inviting the body to soften and release, to promote a sense of calm and presence - this will be a wonderfully grounding way to begin the evening. Yin Yoga works with longer-held, supported postures, encouraging us to let go of tension and simply be.

✨ Journey into deep relaxation with Yoga Nidra

Following Yin Yoga, settle comfortably and allow yourself to be guided into Yoga Nidra — yogic sleep, a practice of profound relaxation and inner awareness. As you lie back and let go, there is nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to achieve. Simply listen, breathe and allow yourself to rest.

🥣 Bathed in the sounds of Himalayan Bowls

The backdrop to the practice of Yoga Nidra will be a soothing sound bath with Himalayan bowls. The rich, resonant tones and vibrations of the bowls will fill the space, creating an immersive experience designed to encourage deep relaxation and stillness, providing a beautiful opportunity to completely unwind.

🕯️ A special Winter Solstice gathering

The Winter Solstice has long been recognised as a time of reflection, transition and renewal — the turning point when the days begin, little by little, to grow lighter again. This event is an invitation to honour that transition. To put down the year's burdens, breathe deeply, rest and make space for the light ahead.

And we will finish the evening with traditional Christmas refreshments, giving us a chance to warm up, share a little festive cheer and enjoy each other's company.

No experience is required. Just come as you are - Leave the outside world behind for a while

🎄 Take a break from the December rush and join us for an evening of gentle movement, deep rest, beautiful sounds and festive warmth.
